Hotel Proposed For Shelton: Report

The proposal also calls for restaurant and retail space.

SHELTON, CT — A 123-room hotel has been proposed at the former United Illuminating office in Shelton, according to the Valley Independent Sentinel. The report indicates the proposal will go before the city's Planning and Zoning Commission on Nov. 29 at 7 p.m.

The property is located at 801 Bridgeport Avenue. It was being sold for $6.6 million.

The proposal also calls for a bank, three-story office building, three restaurants and retail buildings.
