DERBY, CT — Travelers in Derby may encounter lane closures and increased traffic in the area of Main Street this week, according to police.

In a Facebook post Thursday afternoon, police said ongoing daily road construction occurring on Main Street (Route 34) at Bridge Street has moved into the middle of the intersection.

Drivers in the area are asked to anticipate limited lane closures and increased traffic. If possible, drivers should seek out an alternative route, according to police.
