Zelem is currently being held on a $10,000 bond and is expected to appear at State Superior Court in Derby tomorrow, July 14.
The arrest is the result of an incident that occurred in May 2011. A 13-year-old female reported to police that she was hanging around in the downtown area when an unknown older male offered to pay her for sexual favors. When the 13-year-old victim said no, the male followed her and asked her again. The victim then met up with her friends and the male left the area.
