Milling, Paving On Shelton Road Scheduled To Begin Tuesday: Police

Drivers are also asked to heed the direction of police officers, traffic control personnel and signage while work is underway, police said.

SHELTON, CT — Milling and paving work on East Village Road between School Street and Beardsley Road is scheduled to begin Tuesday at 8 a.m., according to police.

In a Facebook post, police said work is expected to continue for several weeks, during which drivers are asked to use Beardsley Road, which runs parallel to East Village, if possible.

"If you must travel on East Village Road, go slowly and with caution," police said on Facebook, "keeping an eye out for workers."

There will also be a number of raised structures while work is underway, which may be more difficult to see at night, according to police.
