Autumn at St. Joseph High School brings a certain magic—the crisp air, colorful leaves blanketing the 58-acre campus, and this year, a Fall Open House designed to capture that same seasonal and welcoming spirit. On Sunday, September 28 from 1:00-3:00pm, families are invited to step onto campus and into a true Fall Fest, complete with tours of the school’s Wetlands Trail & Nature Boardwalk, science labs in action, interactive social studies department lessons, mini musical showcases, a hands-on art project, team introductions on the stadium turf field and plenty of Cadet spirit.

Beyond the seasonal treats and festive atmosphere, St. Joe’s Open House offers families the chance to experience what makes St. Joseph High School unlike any other. As Connecticut’s largest co-ed, Catholic college preparatory school, St. Joes combines tradition with innovation, ensuring every student has the tools to thrive both in high school and beyond.

Throughout the afternoon, prospective families have the opportunity to discover exciting and innovative ways for their students to grow. From earning college credits while still in high school through UConn Early College Experience and Advanced Placement courses, to exploring hands-on electives like Biomedical Engineering, Forensic Science, Theater Arts, Business & Marketing, and even Aeronautical Engineering, their programs are designed to spark curiosity and build real-world skills.

Visitors will also have the chance to visit St. Joe’s Health and Wellness Center, learn about their championship-level athletics, and meet the dedicated coaches, counselors, and faculty who guide students through every step of their journey.

In addition, parents will meet the Freshman College & School Counseling Team, whose personalized four-year plan ensures that students leave St. Joes with confidence, direction, and a clear vision for their future - finding the right college “fit” for them.

What makes Fall Open House truly unique is the atmosphere. Families won’t just be walking hallways and picking up brochures—they’ll be experiencing the heart of the St. Joes community. They’ll meet current students and parents to learn from their authentic experiences; they’ll speak with faculty and staff to get a sense of their dedication and love for their school; and they’ll feel the sense of family that makes St. Joes a home away from home.

So come hungry for cider donuts and popcorn, ready for a hayride to the Wetlands, and most importantly, open to discovering a school experience that’s as joyful and welcoming as it is rigorous and rewarding. At St. Joseph High School, the future starts here—and they can’t wait to share it with you.
