SHELTON, CT — Residents are asked to "exercise caution" following multiple reports of bear sightings in the area, according to police.
In a Facebook post Wednesday, police said "multiple bear sightings" were recently reported around Shelton.
In light of these sightings, residents are asked to stay safe by avoiding leaving food outdoors, securing their trash bins, staying alert and refraining from approaching any bears.
