Mutual Security Credit Union Open New Branch

The new branch will provide access to Mutual Security's full line of financial services from banking and borrowing to financial planning.

From Mutual Security Credit Union: Mutual Security Credit Union today announced that it has opened a new branch at its headquarters in Shelton, CT. The new office, located at 12 Progress Drive, is the credit union’s sixth branch location to open to the public.

“In addition to expanding our footprint to better serve our members and local community, the opening of our Shelton branch is a sort of homecoming for us,” said Larry Holderman, CEO of Mutual Security Credit Union. “We actually began right here in Shelton as the PerkinElmer Employee Credit Union, in 1954. While we branched out over the years to serve other companies, communities, and individuals, we are anchored in Shelton and committed to its future growth.”

The new branch will provide access to Mutual Security’s full line of financial services from banking and borrowing to personal financial planning. Current members, as well as individuals interested in learning more about the credit union, can visit the branch between 9:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. There is also a 24-hour ATM on site, which adds to Mutual Security’s existing network of over 60,000 surcharge-free ATMs nationwide.

While the branch has been open since May, the official grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony will be held onThursday, July 22. In keeping with its long standing tradition of supporting the communities its serves, Mutual Security Credit Union will be making a $500 donation to the Valley United Way to assist them in furthering their goal of improving the quality of life for people living and working in the Valley.
