Narcotics Investigation Leads To Arrest: Shelton Police
The accused attempted to flee on foot, causing an "innocent bystander minor injuries," police said.

SHELTON, CT — A man has been charged with possession with intent to sell and interfering with officers, police said this week.
In the month of September, the Shelton Police Department responded to a call for service regarding a fatal overdose involving a male victim in his 30s, police said.
During the investigation, it was determined that Avery Campbell, 30, had been distributing narcotics, police said.

Following the overdose, detectives, in coordination with undercover Task Force Officers, arranged a controlled purchase of illegal narcotics from Campbell, police said.
Campbell agreed to meet in order to conduct the narcotic sale at the Valero Gas Station located on Howe Avenue, police said.

Upon Campbell’s arrival, detectives and Task Force officers initiated a traffic stop as Campbell exited his vehicle, police said. Campbell attempted to flee on foot, causing an "innocent bystander minor injuries," police said.
A search of Campbell’s vehicle led to the discovery of "illegal narcotics," and he was subsequently arrested. Campbell was released on bond.
