New Details On Man Thrown Off Derby-Shelton Bridge: Report
A 30-year-old area man was thrown from the Derby-Shelton bridge during a fight on Thanksgiving Eve.

SHELTON, CT — A Monroe man that was thrown off the Derby-Shelton bridge on Thanksgiving Eve has left the hospital, reports the Monroe Courier. Police said the man had suffered serious injuries at the time and was transported to Yale New Haven Hospital.
Police responded to the bridge around 1 a.m. for a report of a male in the water. According to police, the man was pulled to the shore by emergency responders.
Police say an investigation found the man was thrown off the bridge after an altercation. According to police, there were witnesses to the event and are asking anyone with information to contact police at 203-924-1544.
