New Regent to Lead Sarah Riggs Humphreys-Mary Silliman Chapter, NSDAR

SRH-MS Chapter elected Deborah Burr Heim to be Regent for 2025-2027 term.

At its April 12, 2025 Annual Meeting, the Sarah Riggs Humphreys-Mary Silliman Chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution, Inc. elected Deborah Burr Heim of Monroe as its new Regent for the 2025-2027 term. Noting that SRH-MS members come primarily from Shelton, Derby, Trumbull, Monroe, and surrounding towns, Regent Heim stated that, “DAR members come from a variety of backgrounds and interests, but we all share a common bond of having an ancestor who helped contribute to securing the independence of the United States of America.”

Regent Heim also noted that in July 2026, the United States will mark its 250th anniversary – and, she promised, our chapter is preparing to celebrate at the local, state, and national level!

She is also looking forward to Flag Day on Saturday, June 14 with a public program at Plumb Memorial Library from 1:00-2:30. Plans are still to be finalized but it promises to be full of flag trivia and the public is invited.
