OLD LYME, CT — Great teachers matter. In Old Lyme, we're fortunate to have teachers like Jillian Goucher.

Why do you believe the teacher should be recognized or honored?

She has a heart of gold. She cares about children and animals from the bottom of her heart. The children in her class mean the world to her. She is always striving to give them the best experience with gathering special tools for her classroom. She has been teaching for six years. This summer, she was the teacher at Old Lyme summer school for preschool.
