DERBY, CT — A parking ban is in effect Friday evening in Derby to allow for viewing of the Derby-Shelton fireworks display, according to police.

The parking ban is in effect on Elizabeth Street, between Main Street and Sixth Street, from 4 p.m. to midnight, according to the department's Facebook page.

Police also noted violators will be towed.
