Parking Ban Issued In Shelton Due Pending Snowstorm
The ban goes into effect at 6 p.m. on Friday, according to officials. Derby also is asking residents not to park on the street.

SHELTON, CT — Shelton has issued a parking ban from 6 p.m. Friday to 6 a.m. Monday due to the pending snowstorm set to roar through Connecticut this weekend.
As much as 18 inches of snow could hit parts of the state, with Shelton and Derby possibly seeing as much as a foot.
Derby also is urging residents not to park on the street.

"On odd numbered days, parking shall be permitted during the aforementioned hours, only on the odd numbered side of the street," Shelton officials said. "On even numbered days, parking shall be permitted during the aforementioned hours only on the even numbered side of the street. Any vehicles towed shall be stored at the police authorized towing company address. The fees for towing are regulated by the State of Connecticut."
The Shelton Transfer Station also will be closed on Saturday, and it will reopen on Monday.
