Proposal To Add More Money To Shelton Schools Budget Rejected: Report
The Board of Aldermen voted to reject a proposal to add millions more into the school budget, according to the Shelton Herald.

SHELTON, CT — A proposal to add $2.3 million to the Board of Education budget was rejected by the Board of Aldermen, the Shelton Herald reports.
The school system sought an additional $4 million increase compared to this year's budget, but that was reduced by $3 million, the Herald reports. School spending will increase by $1 million next year.
Overall, the tax rate for Shelton will decrease next year by slightly less than 2 percent.
