Fernando Borges Teixeira, 40, passed away unexpectedly on Feb. 16, leaving behind his wife Monica Vaz and their two-year-old daughter Aliciana; a proud Portuguese man, he was passionate about soccer, music, dancing, and Volkswagens, bringing joy to those around him with his enthusiasm and warmth.

Richard David Haig, 84, passed away on Feb. 20 after battling Alzheimer’s; a former Marine and dedicated Defense Investigative Agent for over 30 years, he was an active youth sports coach, an avid traveler, a scuba diver, and a lifelong beachgoer who found joy in family vacations.

Katherine “Kay” Alberta Nelson, 81, passed away peacefully on Feb. 13; a skilled quilter, knitter, and seamstress, she found joy in camping at Hammonasset, spending time at the beach or pool, gardening, reading, and hosting holiday dinners.

Hayoung “Patrick” Kim, 63, passed away on Feb. 11; a software developer with a PhD in Physics, he was a published researcher, skilled speedskater, soccer player, DIY enthusiast, guitarist, photographer, and cook who took pride in teaching Korean cuisine to his family.

Barbara Anna Mangiacopra, 86, passed away peacefully on Feb. 15; a dedicated restaurant professional and florist, she was known for her impeccable style, passion for Italian cooking, love of hosting family gatherings, and enthusiasm for travel and special moments with her grandchildren.
