Revolutionary War Patriot Marker Dedication To Be Held At Shelton Park
The public is invited to the dedication ceremony of a Revolutionary War Patriot marker at Shelton's Veterans Memorial Park later this month.
SHELTON, CT — The public is invited to the dedication ceremony of a Revolutionary War Patriot marker at Veterans Memorial Park, located at 38 Canal Street E in Shelton, on Oct. 23 at 11 a.m.
According to a news release provided by the Sarah Riggs Humphreys-Mary Silliman Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, the Shelton park was founded to recognize and honor the men and women who served our country in the military services.
The addition of the Revolutionary War Patriots marker will honor those Shelton and Huntington patriots who served during the American Revolution between April 1775 and September 1783, according to SRH-MS.

The new marker honors those who fought and aided the cause of America's independence. The SRH-MS, through public donations and grants, "has provided this historic monument to commemorate the enduring courage and unwavering resolve of those who contributed to the founding of the United States of America and to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence," the release reads.
All are invited to attend the dedication ceremony. Refreshments will be served.
