Road To Be Closed In Derby Due To Demolition Work: Police
Demolition work is scheduled to take place in Derby this week and is anticipated to take up to three days, according to police.
DERBY, CT — A building located at 43 Anson Street in Derby is scheduled for demolition beginning Monday and is anticipated to take up to three days, according to Derby police.
In a Facebook post Friday, police said Anson Street will be closed on Monday from noon to 5 p.m. due to the size of the machine.
The road will also be closed Tuesday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. The road is expected to reopen after that but will require a single lane closure Wednesday and possibly longer, police said.

No parking signs will be posted and parking violations will be strictly enforced Monday and Tuesday to allow for the work, police said. Drivers are asked to comply with the signage and travel with caution.
