Santa, Snacks & Singing at Huntington Tree Lighting Sunday
Don't miss Shelton's annual Huntington Green tree lighting ceremony this weekend!

RJS Designs and Holiday Decorating of Shelton will once again host the annual Huntington Green Tree Lighting this Sunday, Dec. 2. For the last 16 years, company owner Roger Spinelli has been donating his time and efforts to decorate the Green and its Holiday Tree all in the spirit of Christmas.
"It's the beginning of the holidays and this is a great way to bring the season alive with the festivities and to add holiday cheer to the families of Shelton," Spinelli said at last year's ceremony.
The fun begins at 5 p.m. with a bake sale and goodies donated by Music Teachers Network, LLC. $1 donations will go to the Spooner House. Mayor Mark A. Lauretti will make a short speech before the ceremony. Afterwards, there will be free hot chocolate and a sing-a-long session conducted by MTN. Kids and carolers are encouraged to participate in the holiday cheer!

"I love the lights and remembering the magic from when I was a kid. Now as an adult knowing that the kids are feeling that same magic that I did -- it makes me so happy, especially when I get to participate in making that magic!" said Scott Hargus of MTN.
And as always, Santa will be stopping by via firetruck to greet Shelton's families and listen to kiddies' Christmas lists.
