What does the nominee do for work?:
Emergency Room Nurse, School Nurse

Why do you believe the nominee should be recognized or honored?
When schools closed for COVID my mom who works as a school nurse was sent home as well, so she began picking up shifts in the ER to help with the patients coming in. I have watched her day after day come home looking tired and exhausted with marks on her face and headaches from masks. She helps my sister and I with our distant learning while having meetings with the other school nurses after a few hours of sleep from working in the Emergency Department. My mother is a true hero because even after loosing my grandfather to COVID she has continued to work and help others. I know when schools start back up my mom will continue being busy keeping all the kids safe.
