Q: What do you think will be the biggest challenge?

A: Fairfield County is a very rich area in the country and so it will be a challenge to be able to compete in bringing the brightest and the most talented staff and retaining them. It's been easier in an economy that's flat-lined for several years, but once the economy takes an upturn, we want to be able to bring the best staff here, have the best principals, the best teachers. We want to be competitive.

Fun fact: Pazzono has a Jack Russell terrier dog named Big Mac. He was named after Mark McGwire the year McGwire broke the home run record (1998). He would have been named Sammy if Sammy Sosa had broken the record first.
