Shelton Community Tree Lighting, Holiday Market Details Announced
Shelton's annual community tree lighting and holiday market is set to take place this week, featuring local artisans and a visit from Santa.
SHELTON, CT — The city's annual community tree lighting and holiday market is set to take place this week, featuring local artisans and a visit from Santa Claus.
According to the Shelton Police Department, Celebrate Shelton will host the rain or shine event Friday from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Veterans Memorial Park.
Guests can enjoy an evening filled with holiday carols, local artisans, food trucks, bonfires and free hot cocoa and cookies, as well as a special visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus.

The tree lighting will take place at 6:30 p.m., according to police.
