Shelton Cops Charge Assault, Interfering

Recent arrests by Shelton Police.

Two Shelton men were arrested in separate incidents recently.

Michael J. Kapral, 52, of River Road, was nabbed March 1 and charged with third-degree assault and second-degree breach of the peace.

His court case was continued to March 28 in Derby Superior Court. He is free on a written promise to appear in court.

In the other arrest, Jose Antonio Ortega, 44, of Howe Avenue, is charged with interfering with an officer. Police detained him at his home, and he is scheduled to appear in court March 14.

His bond was set at $5,000.
