Shelton Cops: Man Dragged Woman With a Car

A Shelton man is accused of using a car to drag a woman 15 feet following an argument Oct. 6.

Patrick G. Hanna, 49, of Summer Street, is charged with third-degree assault, second-degree assault with a motor vehicle, disorderly conduct, first-degree reckless endangerment and risk of injury to a minor.

Police said Hanna argued with two women at his home before grabbing a purse and entering a car. The two women, one of whom is a minor, followed him, before he allegedly bit one of them on the finger and dragged the other 15 feet.

The woman who was dragged was treated at a hospital and the other was treated by medics.

His bond was set at $100,000 for an appearance in Derby Superior Court.
