A Shelton man allegedly sexually assaulted a female minor whom he knew, police said Wednesday afternoon.
Michael Spease, 46, of Huntington Avenue was arrested at home on a warrant charging him with sexual assault in the 1st Degree, two counts of sexual assault in the 2nd Degree, and risk of injury to a minor.
Spease is being held on a $100,000 bond.
According to police, "The arrest is the result of a lengthy investigation by detectives which began in September 2012. The alleged incidents occurred between 2008 through 2010. The female victim did know Spease."
