John Wesley Decker, 31, of Spruce Street, Seymour, is charged with fifth-degree larceny.
Police said Decker was working on a Shelton home and the homeowner later discovered a $300 television missing from a locked garage on Oct. 21.
Decker's bond was set at $5,000 for an appearance in Derby Superior Court.
