Javier Antonio Garcia, 37, of Bridgeport, is charged with disorderly conduct, second-degree threatening and second-degree unlawful restraint.
Police said Garcia had a dispute with the woman at her office, and later threatened to stab her.
He was arrested by warrant, police said.
His bond was set at $20,000 for an appearance in Derby Superior Court.
