Walter L. Ciepiela, 61, of Asbury Ridge Road, is accused of throwing fireworks out of his car at another vehicle.
Ciepiela is charged with DUI, objects not be thrown at a motor vehicle, driving with a suspended license and second-degree reckless endangerment.
Police said the incident took place in the 500 block of Bridgeport Avenue.
Ciepiela's bond was sat at $5,000 for an appearance in Derby Superior Court.
