SHELTON-DERBY, CT — On Nov. 4, Shelton and Derby residents cast their votes for several key municipal positions in town. Here's everything you need to know about upcoming municipal election.
Election Day polling hours and locations
Polls in Connecticut are open 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Election Day. You can use the Secretary of State’s website to find your polling place. Voters who are in line by 8 p.m. will be allowed to vote.

Same day voter registration
If you are not registered, but want to vote on Election Day, you may register in person on Election Day at your Election Day Registration site People must be registered by 8 p.m. in order to vote using Election Day registration.

Shelton
Mayor, Vote for One:
The Democratic candidate is Bette Lynn Paez, the Republican candidate is Mark Lauretti, and the Petitioning Candidate is David Eldridge.
City Treasurer, Vote for One:
The Democratic candidate is Mandy Kilmartin, and the Republican candidate is Raymond O'Leary.
Board of Aldermen Ward 1, Vote for Up to Two:
The Democratic candidates are Robert Anderson III and Drew Lewis, and the Republican candidates are Porter McKinnon and Anthony Simonetti.
Board of Aldermen Ward 2, Vote for Up to Two:
The Democratic candidates are Kevin Kosty and Bryan Lizotte, and the Republican candidates are Benjamin Perry Jr. and Eric McPherson.
Board of Aldermen Ward 3, Vote for Up to Two:
The Democratic candidates are Mike Duncan and Thomas Harbinson, and the Republican candidates are John Anglace Jr. and Cris Balamac.
Board of Aldermen Ward 4, Vote for Up to Two:
The Democratic candidates are C. Paul Littlefield and Dawson Shyne-Appignani, and the Republican candidates are Lorenzo Durante and Bernard Simons Jr.
Board of Apportionment and Taxation, Vote for Up to Six:
The Democratic candidates are Greta Jacobsen, Wayne Bragg and Anthony SanMiguel, and the Republican candidates are John Belden Jr., John Boyko and Joanna Carloni.
Board of Education, Nine To Be Elected, Not More Than Five From One Party, Vote for Up to Nine:
The Democratic candidates are Kate Kutash, Patricia Moonan, Carole Pannozzo, Lorraine Rossner and Joan Littlefield, and the Republican candidates are Joseph Pelaggi IV, Jason Neves, Richard O'Connor, Jim Feehan and Anthony Smeraglino.
Planning and Zoning Commission, Vote for Up to Three:
The Democratic candidates are Kevin Paucar and Jimmy Tickey, and the Republican candidates are Robert Cristiano and Win Oppel.
Planning and Zoning Commission Alternates, Vote for Up to Two:
The Democratic candidate is Matt McGee and the Republican candidate is Ken Bertola.
Library Board of Directors, Vote for Up to Two:
The Democratic candidate is Nathan Diur, and the Republican candidates are Edward Szalan and Sally Finck.

Mayor, Vote for One:
The Democratic candidate is Joseph DiMartino, and the Republican candidate is Scott Derby.
Town/City Clerk, Vote for One:
The Democratic candidate is Marc Garofalo, and the Republican candidate is Gino DiGiovanni.
Treasurer, Vote for One:
The Democratic candidate is Barbara Montalvo, and the Republican candidate is Judy Szewczyk.
Constable, Vote for One:
The Democratic candidate is "Owney" Malerba Jr., and the Republican candidate is Carl Malerba Sr.
Board of Aldermen/Alderwomen - 1st Ward, Vote for Up to Three:
The Democratic candidates are Sarah Widomski, Amy Pettinicchi and Arthur Newberg, and the Republican candidates are Gary Collins, Rich DiCarlo and Paula Musante.
Board of Aldermen/Alderwomen - 2nd Ward, Vote for Up to Three:
The Democratic candidates are Roberto Santos, Ronald Sill and George Kurtyka, and the Republican candidates are Al Lotto, Sal Coppola and Gino DiGiovanni.
Board of Aldermen/Alderwomen - 3rd Ward, Vote for Up to Three:
The Democratic candidates are Robert Hyder, David Chevarella and Robin Falcioni-Smith, and the Republican candidates are William Soderberg, Ann Kimball and Licia Soderberg.
Board of Apportionment and Taxation, Vote for Up to Ten:
The Democratic candidates are Kristen Mancini-Wright, Jennifer Desroches, Michael Gray, Colleen Germain-Ezzo, Tina Parelli-Silkoff and Bhamini Patel, and the Republican candidates are Laura Wabno, Heidi DiGiovanni, Burnease Ragin, Ashley Simon, Jerry Borrelli and Jimmy Silkoff.
Board of Education, Vote for Up to Nine:
The Democratic candidates are Melissa Mongillo, Kimberly Tovar, Kenneth Marcucio Sr., Jim Gildea, Daniel Foley Jr. and Erica Nuzzo, and the Republican candidates are Holly Orazietti, Ryleigh Oliwa, Karla Malerba, Ivey Speight, Ian Schroeder and Rebecca O'Hara.
Additionally, Derby residents will vote on the following question:
2025 Capital Plan Program
"Shall the City of Derby appropriate $6,500,000 for the 2025 Capital Plan Program, and authorize the issuance of bonds and notes in the same amount to defray the appropriation?"
