The Shelton High School Robotics Team has built a frisbee throwing robot and a t-shirt launching robot.
But they could not have done it without the school district's support said John Niski, program mentor and Shelton High School Athletic director.
"We had an amazing year," Niski said.
The frisbee shooter had to hit a target while being bumped around, Niski said.
The team achievements include Granite State Regional tournament semi-finalist; Connecticut Regional tournament finalist and winner of Regional Chairman’s Award; CAS/CIAC Connecticut State Championship finalist; ranked 32 out of 102 at FIRST World Championship in St. Louis.
"Fifteen years of budget cuts hasn't hurt the program," he said.

Several team members praised the program for teaching them computer and engineering skills and giving them real world experience.
