Shelton Man ID’d As Body Recovered From River In North Haven: Police
Kayakers reported finding a body in a river in North Haven, according to police.
NORTH HAVEN, CT — A Shelton man has been identified as the body recovered from a river in North Haven over the weekend, according to police.
North Haven police said the body of 32-year-old Joel Auguste of Shelton was found in the Quinnipiac River in North Haven on Saturday, Sept. 27, by kayakers.
“We extend our deepest condolences to his family and loved ones during this difficult time,” North Haven police said. “While there are no overt signs of foul play, this investigation remains ongoing, and we will continue to work with the [Office of the Chief Medical Examiner] and Shelton PD.
