Shelton Man Killed In Motorcycle Crash In Michigan: Police

A Shelton motorcyclist was killed in a crash while riding in Michigan, according to police.

SHELTON, CT — A Shelton motorcyclist was killed in a crash Friday evening while riding in Michigan, according to police.

According to a news release posted to the Hillsdale County Sheriff's Office Facebook page, deputies were called to the area of S. Bird Lake Road, south of E. Territorial Road, in Amboy Township, Mich., around 5:30 p.m. after receiving a report of a motorcycle crash with injuries.

Deputies determined Alvin J. Rosario II, 50, of Shelton, was riding a 2018 Yamaha motorcycle northbound on S. Bird Lake Road when he lost control and crashed into a ditch on the east side of the road, police said.

Resuscitation efforts were unsuccessful and Rosario was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police.

Hillsdale County Deputies were assisted by the Wright-Waldron EMS/Fire Department, the Woodbridge Township Fire Department, Hudson EMS and the Reading Emergency Unit, police said.

The crash is currently under investigation, according to police.
