Shelton Police Find Ecstasy Pills, Pot During Drug Raid

The following information comes from a press release by Lt. Robert Kozlowsky of the Shelton Police Dept. It does not indicate convictions.

On September 2, Shelton detectives executed a search warrant for the residence of 70 Cornell St. Police located a bottle with 46 ecstasy pills, approximately two ounces of Marijuana, some packaged for sales, and packaging material.

Police arrested 20-year-old Josue Ramirez, of 70 Cornell St., and charged him with:

  • Illegal possession of narcotics (Ecstasy),
  • Possession of less than four ounces of marijuana,
  • Possession of narcotics with intent to sell,
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia, and
  • Two counts of risk of injury to a minor (two juveniles were present in the residence).

Josue was released on a $25,000 bond and is scheduled to appear at state superior court in Derby on September 12.

Police also arrested 22-year-old Abimael Ramirez, also of 70 Cornell St., and charged him with interfering with an officer. Abimael is accused of not complying with officers while police were conducting a search warrant. Abimael was released on a $1,000 bond and is also scheduled to appear at Derby Court on September 12. 

Additionally, police issued a ticket to 28-year-old Abimael Ramos, of Wood Avenue in Bridgeport, for possession of less than half an ounce of marijuana.
