Shelton Residents Sound Off on Snow Plowing

How have the roads in your neighborhood faired during the blizzard? Find out what your neighbors said on Facebook.

As of 7 a.m. Sunday the blizzard warning for Connecticut has been lifted. Over the weekend, Winter Storm Jonas brought over a foot of snow to the majority of towns in Fairfield County.

No travel ban was issued for Connecticut throughout the storm, but Governor Dannel Malloy warns residents to pay extra attention and caution while driving.

We asked Patch readers how they felt about the plowing done on their block. Here’s what you said:

  • “Looks pretty good on Westminster and Manton Street.”
  • “Absolutely not. The plow came and made one pass in our cul de sac, so we had to plow an additional 4 feet into the road just to clear out. Driveway is long enough - we don’t need to be doing extra work, which our tax dollars should be paying for.”
  • “Actually they did a grea job. Was really surprised how often they came by.”
  • “Shelton we can do better! Can’t wait to see what the bus stops are like because residents do not clean their walks properly but yet the city does not take this seriously.”
