Shelton Youth Photo Contest Winners Announced

For kids and teens, summer break is the ultimate kick-back time for family vacations, lazy days at the beach and snoozing till noon. But an ambitious group of Shelton youngsters managed to squeeze in some (albeit fun) work time by participating in 's youth photography contest.

Judging began on August 1, and winners will be presented ribbons from the Huntington Photographic Society at the Kids and Teen summer parties on August 18 at 2 p.m. and August 19 at 5 p.m., respectively.

Shawn Field, director of the Huntington Branch library, submitted the list of winners to Patch, as well as some of the winning photographs. Congrats to all!
