Stolen Vehicle Investigation Leads To Arrest: Shelton Police
Shelton police said a Bridgeport man was arrested in connection to an investigation into a recent surge in stolen vehicles in the area.

SHELTON, CT — A Bridgeport man was arrested Thursday in connection to an in-depth investigation into a recent surge in stolen vehicles in the area, according to Shelton police.
In a news release, police said Shelton detectives conducted an in-depth investigation in collaboration with the Connecticut State Police Statewide Narcotics Task Force Southwest Office.
According to police, plain clothed investigators monitoring for suspicious activity near Howe Avenue identified a stolen vehicle parked in the area and gathered evidence linking it to Dionte Thompson, 31, of Bridgeport.

"Investigators determined that Thompson has been implicated in several other crimes, further highlighting his involvement in ongoing criminal activity," police said in a news release.
Thompson was charged with larceny of a motor vehicle (second offense). He was held on a $50,000 bond, which he was unable to post, and appeared in court Friday, according to police.
