Thursday, July 13: Lost Pets, Comedy Class, Aldermen Meeting
Here's a few quick tidbits for the day...
- It's been pretty darn hot all week, which a lot of people enjoy, but today we'll have a bit of a break from the heatwave. The National Weather Service predicts sunny skies with a high near 82 degrees during the day, and the humidity will be mild - with percentages in the high 30s/lower 40s throughout the afternoon. At night, mostly clear skies at night with a low around 58. The humidity will pick up from 8 p.m. on, likely reaching to 70 percent.
- We need you help in finding two missed pets! Earlier this week, we posted about a missing miniature Pinscher from Stratford. Email her owner, Veronica, at v_ortiz11@hotmail.com or call her at 203-895-6484 with any information. and very missed. Chloe is a slender brownish-gray tabby about 3 years old. She was last seen on English Lane, off of Buddington Road. Contact her owner Jennifer Winkel at 203-225-6060 or 203-414-9962 if you have any information.
- Tonight from 7 -8 p.m., comic, tribute artist and actor Anne Kissel will be hosting her first at . This class is for teens and adults who think they are funny or who would like to be funny. Learn the ropes of stand-up comedy! There will be two classes and a performance in this series. This is a fun event you don't want to miss.

- The Board of Aldermen are holding their monthly meeting in auditorium tonight at 7 p.m. Items on the agenda include discussion of Wells Avenue street repair, appropriation for an open space account and a homeland security grant. You can find the full agenda here.
- Congrats to the Shelton businesses and individuals who took home a bit of glory from The Naugatuck Valley Community Corporate Cup. The Cup is an annual series of competitive events designed to encourage the employees of Valley businesses to improve their lifestyles by providing a fun incentive for participants to improve their health and fitness. Winners included:

- PerkinElmer in mini golf and orienteering
