Goodbye, blizzard.

1.     The National Weather Service gives the following report for today: "Increasing clouds, with a high near 30. Wind chill values as low as -3. Northwest wind between 10 and 16 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph."

2.     will host a holiday break mini-camp for kids in grades three through eight from 9 a.m. to noon Monday-Wednesday, Dec. 27-29. The program will singing and dancing to favorite holiday songs, and will conclude with a 20-minute informal performance for friends and family. Tuition is $90.

3.     There will be a FAFSA workshop from 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. at . The event will help you learn about changes to this form for financial aid for college. Please contact Tony Luther at 203-929-3593 if you would like to attend.

4.     members are welcome to join in bingo at 1 p.m. Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at the center. This event is for members only.

5.     A journalism history fun fact: On Dec. 29, 1972: Following 36 years of publication, the last weekly issue of "LIFE" magazine hit the newsstands. The newsweekly is said to have redefined photojournalism while showing America its own face.
