Catch the buzz around Shelton!

  1. As usual we'll start with today's report from the National Weather Service: Rain and snow likely before noon, then a chance of snow. Cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly sunny, with a temperature falling to around 27 degrees by 4 p.m. Breezy, with a light wind becoming northwest between 22 and 25 mph. Winds could gust as high as 39 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.
  2. Today is National Kite Flying Day! Seems like more of a Spring/Summer activity to me, but hey, with the windy conditions predicted for today, why not go fly a kite? I'd check out the toy aisles at some local stores like WalMart, and athletic shop.
  3. The Commission meeting will be held at 4 p.m. at the senior center. All are welcome to attend.
  4. Shelton Patch currently has 45 followers onTwitter. We've slowly but steadily been gaining, which is great, but we want to let our readers know that following us @SheltonPatch is a great resource, as we tweet story updates and various city-related info thoughout the day!
  5. On this day in history: Something everyone probably remembers...Feb. 8, 1996, the Senate heard closing arguments in President Bill Clinton's impeachment trial. Tell us what you remember most about the trial in the comments section!
