Valley Karate Students Kick Butt at International Championship

Congratulations to this week's Whiz Kids, who competed in August.

Who: martial arts students from Shelton

Ages: The team of 28 students was comprised of children and adult students from the rank of orange belt through Master Black Belt.

Accomplishment: Competed at the 16th Annual All Tang Soo Do International Championships in Orlando, FL on August 12 and 13. They competed with students from over 15 countries.

Key to awesomeness: Team Valley Karate won 1st place in the Dojang Demonstration competition and 2nd place in Team Forms. Additionally, students competing individually won 2 Grand Champion medals, 11 Gold, 9 Silver and 7 Bronze medals in forms, weapons, and sparring divisions.
