Vehicle Drives Down 30-Foot Embankment In Shelton: FD

Fire officials said the vehicle was found down a 30-foot embankment with an approximately 50-degree slope.

SHELTON, CT — A vehicle drove down a deep embankment Wednesday night in Shelton, according to fire officials.

In a Facebook post, fire officials said crews found the vehicle down a 30-foot embankment with an approximately 50-degree slope near River Road.

The driver was able self-extricate from the vehicle before crews arrived. There were no passengers in the vehicle, according to fire officials.

Crews remained in the area to help a towing service remove the vehicle from the embankment, fire officials said.
