William J. Schuld - Obituary

William Joseph Schuld, age 73, beloved husband of Joan Martha Mikita Schuld of Oxford, died September 16, 2025 at his residence following a sudden illness. Born in Derby on January 27, 1952, he was the son of the late William J. and Maria Christowski Schuld. Mr. Schuld was raised in Shelton and attended the Shelton-Derby Boys Club in his younger years, where he was awarded “Boy of the Year” – a trophy he displayed his entire life! He graduated from Shelton High School in 1969 and soon after enlisted in the U.S. Army, serving at Fort Dix, NJ and the CT Army National Guard, until his honorable discharge in 1978. Mr. Schuld enjoyed a long career in the automotive industry and worked as the General Manager of Stevens Auto Mall of Bristol for many years, until his retirement in 2013. He was an avid outdoorsman that enjoyed hunting and fishing, a NASCAR racing fan and fan of all sports, especially football and baseball. In addition to his wife of 52 years, he is survived by his devoted sons, Michael J. Schuld and his wife, Jennifer of Milford and Jeffrey W. Schuld and his wife, Amber of NC; cherished grandchildren, Nathan J. and Jordan K. Schuld of NC and Isabella G. Schuld of Milford. Funeral services are private.
