Winter Parking Regulations In Effect For Derby

The regulations will remain in effect through March 2023.

DERBY, CT — Winter parking regulations went into effect Thursday and will remain in place through March 31, 2023, according to police.

Police said on Facebook the parking ban shall be in effect 24 hours a day, seven days a week, on all city streets and highways. The purpose is to allow snow plows to remove snow and ice as quickly as possible from all city streets and highways.

Police said they will strictly enforce violations by issuing parking tickets and towing vehicles when deemed necessary. Parking tickets double after 10 days, and any vehicle owner owing $250 or more is subject to their vehicle being immobilized with a wheel boot.
