Geritol Swingers Opens 40th Season

The Geritol Swingers founded at Simsbury Farms Golf Course in 1972 will open their 40th season April 25th with a scramble tournament followed by lunch at the clubhouse.

Membership in this mens golf league is open to Simsbury residents retired from full-time employment.

The group is currently accepting applications for membership.

The group plays Monday-Friday each week of the season at 8:00 A.M.

Players should arrive at the course between 7:30-7:45 to be ready to play at 8:00 A.M.

Membership cards are given to the "Starter". No need for a tee time, the starter then shuffles the cards and draws  Foursomes to determine the order of play.

You may play as often or as seldom as you wish. If you don't wish to play on a given day there is no need to call to cancel, if you wish to play just be ready to play at 7:45 a.m.

Ten tournaments are held during the season always on Wednesdays. There are several special tournaments Opening Day Scramble followed by lunch, 'Guys and Dolls' in August where the ladies join us for golf and lunch and the Annual Picnic in September.

Annual dues are $ 30.00 and cover three lunches and occasional coffee
and pastry after play.
