On Saturday, June 2nd, the Town of Simsbury will be sponsoring a “Simsbury Day” at the Wadsworth Atheneum Museum of Art, located at 600 Main Street in Hartford. All Simsbury residents are invited to visit the museum, free of charge, between the hours of 10 A.M. and 5 P.M.
Among the special exhibitions on view are Andrew Wyeth’s Looking Beyond, James Welling’s Wyeth, MATRIX 164: Jan Tichy and Collective Memories: Selections from the Collection of The Amistad Center.
To obtain free general admission to the Wadsworth Atheneum, Simsbury citizens are asked to show proof of residency (such as a driver’s license, or an envelope sent to their home address) and Phelps Chapter members proof of membership, at the visitor services desk, located at the 600 Main Street entrance.
