CBRE/New England will serve as the exclusive marketing advisor in the sale of a well-known Simsbury landmark.

From CBRE/New England:
HARTFORD, CT - CBRE/New England (CBRE/NE) is pleased to announce that it has officially been retained as the exclusive marketing advisor in the disposition of one of Simsbury’s most well-known landmarks, the brownstone building located at 690 Hopmeadow Street in the downtown district. The Hartford office brokerage team of John McCormick, Anna Kocsondy and Tina Briggs will be handling this assignment on behalf of the owner, Chestnut Hill Associates of Simsbury, LLC.
Locally known as “The Mansion at Chestnut Hill” 690 Hopmeadow Street was originally built in 1905 and served as the residence and office of Joseph R. Ensign. The property has since been through several reincarnations, most recently serving as a retail branch office location for Webster Bank. 690 Hopmeadow offers a signature identity in a picturesque, suburban setting as the southern gateway to Simsbury’s Commercial District, with unparalleled access to walkable amenities including retail shops, restaurants, bike trails, the Simsbury Public Library, Simsbury’s Performing Arts Center, Simsbury Senior Center, the Drake Hill Mall, churches, museums and recreation along the scenic Farmington River. The offering includes the three-story vacant brownstone building and 3.24 acres of land approved for mixed-use development including multi-family/condominiums, office, medical office and hotel, as well as specialty uses including bed and breakfast and health/spa/wellness.
