Celebrate the Friends of the Library in the Community
The Simsbury Friends of the Public Library support our the library and many community programs.

The Friends of the Simsbury Public Library is a volunteer non-profit organization dedicated to supporting the Simsbury (CT) Public Library. The support is in the form of programs for all ages, books, building fund, technology in-fracture, website construction, cultural trips, author luncheons, history programs, museums passes, and various other activities. All programs are open to the public.
Money raised from membership dues from residents and our annual used book sale underwrites the cost of programs, equipment, and countless other services and activities. Examples of the programs funded by the Friends of the Simsbury Public Library last year include: Museum passes to 28 museums (1,500 uses) The aquarium in the Children’s Room (countless), Library tent for outreach (nearly 2,000 people engaged), Children’s and Teens Summer Reading Program (2,586 participants), Children’s materials (800 items), Author luncheons, 9 Friends Coffeehouse Music Series (671 attendees), 140 ebooks and downloadable audiobooks (2,000 checkouts), 50 digital magazine subscriptions (1,602 checkouts) and of course many more.
