Crash Closes Simsbury Roadway For Much Of Day Friday
The accident involved a vehicle and a utility pole/transformer, according to police.

SIMSBURY, CT — No one was hurt in a vehicle accident in Simsbury involving a utility pole, but it did cause a major mess and has impacted traffic in that area.
According to the Simsbury Police Department, Firetown Road (from West Street to Great Pond Road) was closed Friday afternoon due to a downed utility pole with a transformer.

Police said emergency crews and utility company officials are on the scene and traffic is limited to just residents in that area.
A detour involving Plank Hill Road has been set up, police said, and motorist scan expect lane closures for the rest of the day Friday.
