Cyclist Involved In Accident, Road Reopens: Simsbury Police

Detours have been set up, police said.

SIMSBURY, CT — Simsbury Police said they are investigating a vehicle accident involving a cyclist on Bushy Hill Road (Route 167) near Sand Hill Road.

Bushy Hill Road was closed for about two hours Tuesday evening between Sand Hill and Deer Park roads. Police urged motorists to use Stratton Brook Road and Latimer Lane as detours.

In an update at 7 p.m., police said Brushy Hill Road has been reopened for traffic in both directions following an earlier vehicle and bicycle crash.
