Simsbury Roadway Reopens After Tree Downs Wires: UPDATE
The tree had taken down some utility lines, according to the state Department of Transportation.

SIMSBURY, CT — A busy section of state roadway in Simsbury was closed for much of the day due to a tree coming down and taking utility wires with it, but it has since reopened.
The state Department of Transportation reports that Route 309 was closed at Fox Den Road because of the situation, which likely occurred overnight as thunderstorms rumbled through the area.
The closing was first reported at 8:22 a.m. and Wednesday afternoon, the roadway had reopened.
