Emergency Water Main Repair To Disrupt Simsbury Traffic
The work will start this week and finish in early December.

SIMSBURY, CT — A major water main repair project will start in Simsbury this week, with motorists advised to prepare for some disruptions.
The Aquarion Water Co. will begin an emergency water main repair project on East Weatogue Street, specifically from Riverside Road (south) to Bradley Road, starting on Wednesday, Nov. 19.

Work will continue until roughly the end of the first week of December (weather permitting).
Crews will take a break from Wednesday, Nov. 26, until Monday, Dec. 1, to avoid any inconvenience or disruption to residents during the Thanksgiving holiday weekend.

"We have coordinated with our police department to deploy variable message signs in the area to alert motorists of the upcoming work and potential disruptions," wrote the Town of Simsbury.
"Due to the nature of the construction, residents should anticipate minor traffic delays, and we may implement detours to make the construction process both faster and safer."
